Film Screening: The Dictator Hunter

Dictator HunterAugust 6th

The International Center is pleased to present the critically acclaimed, award winning, documentary The Dictator Hunter, featuring ICNY member Souleymane Guengueng from Chad. The film follows Reed Brody of Human Rights Watch, over the course of two suspenseful years, as he travels through Africa, Europe, and the United States in an effort to bring to justice the former dictator of Chad, Hissène Habré, who is charged with the killing of thousands of his own countrymen in the 1980s. The film was recently shown at the Human Rights International Film Festival.

Please join us Wednesday, August 6, at 6 PM, in Rooms 1 & 2.

Following the screening, Souleymane Guengueng will be on-hand to discuss the film and his own efforts in bringing Hissène Habré to justice.
