EXECUTIVE OFFICE & OPERATIONS
Doreen joined the International Center in February 2010 when she was appointed Executive Director. She is the founder of Rizopoulos Associates, an executive search practice focusing on the financial services industry. She was a co-founder and managing partner of Magdalin Rizopoulos, Inc., also a financial services industry executive search firm. Ms. Rizopoulos previously served as a Vice President, Information Technology, at Lehman Brothers, where she managed the global campus recruiting and training program for IT, and US Operations. In addition, she managed the division’s high school and college internship programs, and the firm’s career mobility program. She initially joined Lehman Brothers in 1990 as a technologist, having worked extensively within infrastructure technology both as an analyst and as a technology trainer at financial institutions and technology-driven firms. She has been a featured speaker at forums focused on career development and spent many years both coaching and developing mentoring programs for college graduates. Ms. Rizopoulos holds a BA from Dowling College.

Jacob (Jake) joined the International Center in June 2010 and assists the Executive Director and Development Manager. He is in charge of managing ICNY's social networks and blogs as well as assisting on proposals and program development. Jake graduated from William Paterson University with a BA in English.

Maria joined the International Center in November 1997, and offers support to the Chief Operating Officer. She also reconciles for bank deposits, maintains computer records, interprets for Spanish speaking members, orders staff supplies, supervises Coffee Shop and Front Desk staff, registers members, and trains volunteer receptionists.

PROGRAMS
Mira joined the Center in June 2001. She is responsible for the Center's ESOL courses, workshops, and cultural and social programs. She also supervises volunteer training, the Center library, and the technology program.

Shawn joined the International Center in 2001 and assists the Director of Programs in recruiting and scheduling volunteers for classes, workshops and structured courses, and also oversees the Center's computer lab and technology programs. He also teaches at the Center.

Anna came to the USA in 1984, and soon after registered at the International Center for English classes. Now twenty years later, she is still at the Center, as part of the staff. She is responsible for matching thousands of International Center members with volunteer tutors. She also oversees the administration of the Information Desk and is in charge of organizing writing and pronunciation partnerships.

Elaine joined the International Center in October 2008. She manages the Immigrant Support Program to help newly arrived immigrants build the skills they need for their careers and everyday life in the US. She also meets with members individually as well as with the program as a whole to identify important and relevant topics. Topics she works on include: access to health insurance, information about higher education in the US, and navigating the job market.
